Derek Waller has more than 46 years experience in Glass, Glazing and the Double-Glazing industry. From humble beginnings as a Glazier to Regional Manager and Operations Manager for a national double-glazing company. WACCS (Window and Conservatory Consultancy Service) was formed in June 1996 by Derek Waller. At this time he was working from a small bedroom in his house. John Gleed joined Derek and looked after the administration side of the business. In 1997 WACCS was rapidly expanding and needed more space, therefore a garage at the bottom of the garden was refurbished and converted into an office.

During this time Derek began to make appearances on local radio and television helping consumers with problems they were experiencing with window installations.  

In 1999 the business continued to expand and therefore it was decided we would move to our current offices in Selly Oak.   The company name was changed from WACCS to Derek Waller Services (waccs).  Derek Waller Services also went into an Association with M Johnson Window Services. www.mjwindows.co.uk  John Gleed retired on 30 April 2004 and Nigel Kinnear stepped into John's shoes as Office Manager.

In September 2005 Derek Waller Services (waccs) had a further name change, dropping the 'waccs', which was the original company name. Also at that time Derek sold Derek Waller Services as a going concern but remained as a consultant for the company under WACCS. Derek is an Associate Surveyor with the designation AssocRICS with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The current owner is Robert Clarke. However, Robert does not involve himself in the day to day running of the business which is still run by Derek Waller WACCS with help of Nigel Kinnear. 

Derek has more recently set up another business with Barry Cross who is a very well respected Chartered Building Surveyor. The new business is called Cross and Waller Property Surveyors. This business covers all aspects of the property as the name suggests and operates to the same standards as Derek Waller Services. www.crossandwaller.co.uk
